On average 62 kids participate under the guidance of 1 or 2 teachers. The kids also receive a good meal each day, provided and prepared by Divava.
About Divava Resort & Spa
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa is located on the banks of the Okavango River. A lot of the Divava staff comes from the Divava village or other nearby villages.
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa finds it important to support the local community. Hence they’ve build and keep managing the kindergarten.

Construction
The construction started at the end of 2016 and the school runs since April 2017.
Kinds
On average 62 kids get schooling by 1 or 2 teachers. The kids also receive a good meal each day, provided and prepared by Divava.
Funding
The Divava kindergarten has been set up by Divava Okavango Resort & Spa with the contribution of fundraisers. Especially Guido de Clerck en Luc Wille helped to raise the required money. The daily expenses and the teacher(s) are paid by Divava Okavango Resort & Spa.
Goal
The school has been set up to help local kids with their development and growth. The school focuses on kids between the age of 2 and 6 as this is an important period in their mental development.

Visit this traditional village
The Kavango inhabitants will welcome you in their village and show you how they grow crops, prepare food and drinks and much more. You will learn about their culture and watch their traditional dances. When visiting the traditional village of Divava you will also get a chance to see the kindergarten.

The Divava kindergarten has been set up by Divava Okavango Resort & Spa with the contribution of fundraisers. Especially Guido Declercq en Luc Wille helped to raise the required money to build the school.
Upkeep
The daily expenses and the teacher(s) are being paid by Divava Okavango Resort & Spa. They also get help with donations from guest and other interested parties.
Guest contribution
When staying at the the resort, guest have the option to donate to the school. All donations will be fully used for the upkeep of the school.
